My hopes for all the franklin pierce students attending this excellent journey are high. I hope everyone is able to accomplish their personal and academic goals. I also hope every has a positive learning experience, and a great social experience in this far away land.
I hope Heather, Tom and the Vienna professors also have an amazing semester. I hope everyone can share there knowledge with us, and vice versa. I am also hopeful that all staff will have a great experience away from the academic side of things. I hope Heather and Toms children also benefit from this voyage.
I have many hopes for this semester in Vienna, Austria. I hope to get all my work done, and get good grades. Well that is expected from everyone i would think. I also hope to achieve my personal goals, which are learning a lot more German and Italian. I would also like to try and obtain a job. I do not want to experience so much of the party life style... or the college life style of Vienna, how ever I aim to enjoy the real life style. I want to go snowboarding, and film others in High Definition, with my camcorder. At the end of it all i plan to return back home to my loved one, family and friends. I hope this journey will help me understand more of the world, and help better me as a individual and some one going into the world of work.
I am afraid of the communication aspect of things. I have been trying to learn German with some books and CD's and it really choppy water for me. I am also nervous about finding work. It is something I really want to accomplish, and it leads me to be nervous.
I feel you on the communication aspect. I am soooo bad at languages, I feel like I'm going to make a complete fool of myself and ask someone something that makes no sense by accident. Oh well, they say immersion is the best way.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will do fine with the language. You seem to be able to say a few things fluently already. Don't forget to relax while you're over there, you'll deserve some play time.
